The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the end to end payroll delivery, including payroll compliance, and managing offshore provider (Infosys).
A key part of the role will be to develop strong relationships with the workforce and manage client expectations in relation to the delivery of payroll services.
Key responsibilities includes (not limited to):
- Manage end to end payroll delivery, including the preparation and processing of payment and maintenance of all related records.
- Managing offshore provider (Infosys)
- Ensure all payroll documents are accurately processed and in timely manner by pay cycle
- Ensure all payroll deadlines are adhered to and pays are disbursed in a timely and accurate manner by pay cycle
- Ensure all staff queries are managed in a timely and efficient manner and resolved within agreed service level timeframes. Diligent management and tracking of OEMS open tasks on daily basis
- Ensure time and payroll data integrity audits are conducted each payroll cycle and prior to EFT finalization
- Effective and timely management of recovery of overpayments for active and terminated employees, ensuring phone calls and communications are made upon identification of overpaid amounts
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous payroll process improvement
- Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal legislation and requirements, payroll industry best practice, EBAs and employee contracts.
- Support and contribute to successful transitions
To be successful in this role you must have extensive experience in end to end payroll processing in addition to comprehensive knowledge of federal and modern awards, Enterprise Agreements, statutory payroll legislation governing superannuation, taxation, payments and deductions and other relevant policies. To be successful in this role you must have an Ability to manage, lead and train offshore team members in new practices and processes .Excellent organizational / time management skills with an assertive approach to payroll deadlines and the rectification of incorrect work practices is a key skill for this role.
