Join a leading Financial Services business as a Capability Development Manager to support the design and delivery of ongoing programs to uplift Financial Crime Compliance across the business. Based in Sydney this will be an initial 6 month project with view to extend / go permanent.Responsibilities
- Design and pilot an initial leader-led scenario-based program focusing on financial crime threats, risks and compliance; following pilot refine as required and oversee global rollout
- Understand and build a strategy to address FCC capability gaps in the business
- Develop impactful programs that engage and develop staff at all levels to better understand and apply financial crime threat, typology, risk management and compliance concepts
- Evidence the participation and impact of capability development programs
- Design and build of impactful fit-for-purpose capability development programs, including leader-led programs
- Oversee the roll out of the leader-led programs and monitor/evidence attendance, engagement and impact
- Work with projects to align a new Financial Crime Compliance competency framework with the organisational design and learning curriculum
- Conduct a training needs analysis across Financial Crime Compliance and develop a strategy to uplift FCC capabilities in high-risk and targeted roles
- Identify, develop and own relationships with Business Unit stakeholders
- Identify and raise project related capability risks
- Leverage tools and methodologies for change
- Participate in ‘change network’ for change resources across the program for the purposes of sharing insights and best practice
- Instructional design

- Capability framework implementation
- Experienced in solving problems and overcoming conflict
- Experience working within financial services (desirable)
- You have earnt a reputation as a trusted advisor with a track record of delivery in previous roles
- You can successfully managing risk
- Training and education relating to regulatory standards and change (desirable)
- Business acumen: Sources new and utilises existing data to create engaging and technically accurate content
- Program management: Coordinates capability development activities with change load of PoA for the business unit and manages according to business capacity for change and schedule
- Building partnerships and trust: Builds strategic relationships and influences within the business unit to ensure ongoing and productive delivery of capability uplift
- Managing ambiguity: Works adaptively with business and obligation workstreams to understand FCC requirements and business area needs, and adjust initiatives accordingly
- Managing conflict: Works effectively in antagonistic situations; reduces tension and conflict
