My retail client is growing throughout Australia and has a newly created role for a HR Manager to focus on Learning and Development, as well as over see policy, recruitment and all other HR functions. This role will be part of the executive team, will be quiet autonomous and will need someone who can build the structure.

This role drives employee engagement, defines the employer brand and employee value proposition developing and managing learning and development, talent identification and management, succession and reward and recognition strategies, to drive a high performing and engaged workforce.

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitor organisational culture, to measure employee satisfaction and engagement, identify and assess organisational issues, and evaluate the impact of organisational development programs.
  • Lead design and development of the learning and organisational development strategy and plan that build organisational capability both now and into the future
  • Design, develop and implement of various programs including class room learning, workshops and e-learning. Consideration of online and digital learning solutions.
  • Develop and implement talent management frameworks, including annual talent review, and succession planning programs and strategies to ensure the resources to meet its future growth needs
  • Promote the People and Culture function within the organisation through developing relationships with the Executive Leadership Team
  • Provide leadership, ongoing direction, and expert advice to senior executives to plan and implement human resources reform strategies that support quality improvement, operational change and maximum performance in meeting targets.
  • Provide strategic advice and direction on the full range of people and culture functions, policies and procedures.
  • Building an L&D curriculum incorporating leadership development, soft skills training, coaching and mentoring blended learning programs.
  • Thorough training needs analysis to identify capability gaps as the organisation goes through a state of change and encourages a high performance culture.
  • A background in fast pace retail would be an advantage
