What you’ll love about the role:

Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will lead the delivery of the safety strategy across the group nationally. This is an exciting greenfield opportunity to continue to build on the WHS function. The role will evolve over time as the function matures, initially you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a safety management system;
  • Work cover claims, return to work and rehabilitation processes;
  • Incident investigations and reporting;
  • Provide guidance, technical advice and continuous support to staff;
  • Coordinate and review risk assessments in consultation with stakeholders;
  • Development implementation of H&S policies and initiatives;
  • Develop and roll out health and safety training and workshops; and
  • Audit and inspection of relevant systems.

*Please note, this role will require significant national travel.

What we’ll love about you:

Having a wealth of experience in WHS Advisory positions previously, you will have a consultative and engaging approach to safety with a true passion for uniting best practice safety with commercial acumen. You will also have:

  • Previous experience in developing a safety management system from scratch;
  • Strong skills in influencing and mentoring leaders;
  • Experience in implementing safety frameworks in a geographically disperse business;
  • Tertiary or Diploma level qualification in OHS or other relevant field; and
  • Health industry experience is essential.
