About you
You have a keen interest in home furnishing and a strong connection to the IKEA brand. You are an experienced and engaging leader who is passionate about people with an unwavering commitment to creating the conditions for co-workers to thrive. You have highly developed communication skills and enjoy presenting to groups large and small. Your down to earth yet strategic approach helps you build positive and productive relationships at all levels. You have extensive Human Resources experience, preferably in a retail environment. 
 
About the job
This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role that is fully embedded in the IKEA store. It requires a very hands-on and adaptable approach, along with excellent organizational skills. You will be the custodian of the co-worker experience and a trusted advisor to your business partners. You will drive and support all things people-related, including recruitment, on-boarding, performance, learning and development, succession, conflict resolution and workplace injury management. You will also play an integral role in the issues resolution process, balancing the needs of our people with the realities of our business.  You will need a humanistic, holistic mindset along with a sound understanding of the departments you work with. As our store operates 7 days per week, this role requires availability to work a variety of hours including weekends.
 
About the assignment
You will be focused on implementing the key activities as outlined in the competence plan and the store People Plan, as well as partnering with your allocated departments to drive and support the yearly People and Culture Cycle.
