What you will be delivering

In order to ensure and improve electricity field work safety and operation & maintenance efficiency, in this role you will effectively review and develop electricity field work procedures and practices in order to identify and investigate safety and efficiency improvement opportunities.  Your role will be to collaboratively consult and communicate with field workforce and other internal stakeholders in order to provide support to the business in field work procedures and practices, including workforce training & assessment and incident investigations where required.

The team comprises of dedicated subject matter experts within the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) group of the business who work together to Assist in the development and implementation of processes and systems to ensure that products and services conform to AusNet Services requirements and the relevant quality standards.

Duties:

  • Provide on-time delivery of assigned activities and initiatives in development of field work procedures and practices to meet customer expectations;
  • Efficiently collect, investigate and record feedback and improvement opportunities on field procedure and practice development;
  • Support the workforce in field work procedures and practices and team members in the delivery of procedures, works practices, site audits, training and assessments
  • Identify and support network efficiency and safety improvement initiatives;
  • Support the delivery of our missionZERO program and associated initiatives.

You will have:

  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills;
  • Strong technical written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong understanding of electricity network operation and maintenance practices;
  • Understanding and ability to apply fundamental incident investigation techniques;
  • A current driver's license
  • A formal electrical trades or electrical engineering qualification
