The Role:
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for the coordination and provision of fortnightly payroll processing services for 400+ employees across Queensland and Northern Territory.
Working within the Human Resource team, you will provide expert support and timely advice to all internal stakeholders, maintain and update the HRIS database, provide informative reporting metrics and perform all associated payroll functions.
A key focus of this position will be on supporting the HR team to provide efficient and high quality employment services.
To succeed in this role, you will be:

- An approachable and collaborative team member
Essential Criteria:
- Significant Payroll Officer experience
- Previous experience working within Preceda/Ascender highly advantageous
- Understanding of relevant legislation including NES
- Ability to interpret Employee Agreements and Classification standards
- High attention to detail and accurate data processing
- Ability to self-manage work priorities and problem solve where necessary
- Accountability for the delivery of payroll service standards and timeframe achievement
- Effective communication and time manage skills
- Ability to maintain confidentially on information at all times
- The successful applicant must hold or be eligible to obtain a National Criminal History Check clearance
