About us & the role
Working at Border Express is an opportunity to excel. We are committed to be recognised by our customers as the industry leader for service delivery and value, and we are looking for a performance driven, results focused, Safety/training Coordinator to join us for the journey based at our Wetherill Park site. The hours will be from 12pm through to 8pm, with the possibility of a rotation roster.
Reporting to the Operational Risk Manager you will be an integral part of the Operational Risk Team. You will support the branch leadership teams at all of our NSW locations in developing a safe and learning culture, facilitate our training and induction programs, work directly with employees to drive understanding and ownership of personal safety, implement our 'Engage - Nurture – Grow' and 'Hands on Safety 100%' programs.
This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on training, it’s exciting, challenging and no two days are the same. Transport experience is preferred but not essential, however the right attitude is!
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Full Australian work rights
- Experience in facilitating training sessions;
- Previous Return to Work Experience.
- Enthusiasm, energy, great communication skills and a capacity to learn;
- An unrelenting drive to deliver industry-leading service, delivery and value;
- Passion for developing people and keeping them safe;
- Experience in Hazard and Risk Management Programs;
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety;
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training;
Preferred:
- Transport or related industry experience;
- Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations (Chain of Responsibility, Load Restraint & Dangerous Goods);
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
