Croydon is a beautiful quaint town located in the heart of the Gulf Savannah, just south of the base of the Gulf of Carpentaria in Far North Queensland, approximately 550km south-west of Cairns. Croydon offers a relaxing outback lifestyle.
  
The Position: This position, unlike others, will offer you the opportunity to develop your skillset within Work, Health & Safety while gaining experience across a variety of disciplines including Local Laws, regulatory compliance, community education and water operations.
  
Skills / Experience Required:
We are seeking a highly motivated WH&S individual who has a clear desire to progress their career and diversify their experience in Local Government. In addition, you must possess:

• Relevant WH&S qualifications combined with 1 – 2 years WH&S experience;
• Experience in the development, delivery and assessment of WH&S awareness and / or training programs;
• Experience in preparing routine correspondence including memos and reports;
• Demonstrated ability to operate under limited direction and supervision;
• High level of interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills;
• Sound level of numeracy and literacy skills;
• Willingness to undertake further training and / or education;
• Ability to learn new tasks / procedures and acquire knowledge quickly;
• Current QLD Class ‘C’ Manual Drivers Licence; and
• Prior experience in Local Government will be highly regarded.
