Recruitment Officer required to support a unique Federal Govt agency, 3-month contract, Sydney CBD.

Your new company
This Federal government body is unique and will offer a dynamic Recruitment Officer the ability to diversify their portfolio of experience. As a Recruitment Officer, you will be supporting the HR Manager to make important talent management decisions and you will contribute to the talent acquisition strategy of the department coming into the new Financial Year. The role is to commence immediately and will initially be a 3-month contract, with a view to extend depending on the candidate.

Your new role
As a Recruitment Officer, your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process across the Corporate Services and Administration portfolios.
  • Screen candidate applications, schedule face-to-face interviews, contribute as a panel interview member, select candidates and manage the on-boarding process.
  • Oversee employee compliance processes and conduct employee file audits.
  • Provide advisory support to Line Managers and the HR Manager regarding talent management and candidate attraction strategies.



What you'll need to succeed

  • You will have strong experience supporting end-to-end internal recruitment.
  • You will possess a tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management.
  • You will be capable of providing examples of when you have previously engaged candidate attraction strategies.
  • You will have a sound understanding of Australian employment law and Fair Work award interpretation.
  • You will have excellent HRIS and MS Office skills.
  • You will have experience providing a consultative approach to talent acquisition.

As this role is within the Federal Government, candidates must be Australian Citizens in order to be considered.
