About the role
Be the go to for WHS and get involved in providing effective, efficient and best practice work health and safety services to Northcott!
In this pivotal role you will implement, coordinate and evaluate an effective work environment and take ownership of continuous improvement of the WHS systems to Northcott Disability Services (Northcott)
You will
- Research and develop policies and procedures that align with legislative compliance
- Review existing policy and procedure, and develop policy and procedure to support WHS management system, ensuring alignment with strategic vision.
- Coordinate the risk assessment program and conduct risk assessments in a variety of contexts
- Advise and facilitate implementation of corrective actions as well as coach site managements of principles of risk management in WHS context
- Monitor incident investigations, undertake investigations and apply appropriate preventative or corrective actions
- Coordinate the injury management program
- Develop safe work procedures across a range of services
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related business discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigation and risk assessment
- Current NSW drivers license and willingness to travel to regional locations
- Strong practical and theoretical understanding of work health and safety matters from both a strategic and operational perspective.
- High level of interpersonal skills demonstrated through achieving negotiated outcomes, and liaising with all levels of an organisation.
