Located in Dandenong South, we are seeking an experienced, and dynamic "hands-on", motivated Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator to influence a safety behavioural change for performance and success.
Working in a fast-paced environment, and reporting to the Human Resources manager, you will develop and implement best safety manufacturing practices while working with employees to drive a behavioural safety culture throughout the business.
Our manufacturing sites encompasses the production of state-of-the-art products for truck brands across Australia and South-East Asia, as well as bespoke parts for many and disparate manufacturing businesses. With Hilton you will be part of a talented and diverse team of highly skilled professionals who are dedicated, work as a team, and actively pursue change to stay at the top of this fast-paced environment.
About the role:
- Ensure safety and OH&S standards are implemented, maintained, and improved
- Leading by example with a safety behavioural culture that seeks to influence proactive practices
- Leading and implementing a Safety program utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, 5S across all areas of production
- Development and implementation of OHS policies, proceedures and legal requirements
- Monitoring and reporting on incident, LTI, Financial and improvements
- Involvement and support to injured workers including work cover where appropriate
- Be a positive and motivated Safety expert to Mentor team in all aspects of Safety prevention
About you:
- Qualified in OHS preferred by not essential
- Extensive OHS work experience in a production, manufacturing environment
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
- Team player with a good work ethic
