The Organisation:
Work with a large Commonwealth agency focusing on social policy issues and experiencing significant surge in recruitment. Busy fast paced environment with innovative thinking and improvement.
The Opportunity:
As the Team Leader within the People Services Branch you will have the opportunity to lead a team of 8 to drive improvements and create efficiencies. Our client is not necessarily looking for a recruitment expert, but an innovative thinker who offers a fresh set of eyes for driving improvement who would be encouraged to shake things up by asking; “Why we are doing that”?
The Role:
This position will lead a team responsible for providing advice on, and managing recruitment processes Nationally.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Reinvigorate processes and systems, drive efficiencies, simplify operations.
- Motivating the team providing leadership and support
- Build and Maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Review current skills, capabilities and assist implementing an alternative model
- Work with the EL1 with a focus on process and improvement
The Person:
- You will have experience in a Operations Management in a high volume processing environment (e.g. Shared services, call centre, recruitment) and have an interest / understanding of HR / Recruitment
- You will love simplifying and streamlining processes and systems to find efficiencies
- You will be outcomes focussed and will use your strong communication skills to drive change and empower people.
- You will have significant management and team leadership experience leading teams of more than 5 staff
The Salary/Rate:
$82 - $92K+ Super
An initial 6 month non ongoing contract or through a section S26 will be offered. Strong opportunity for future work or potential permanency.
