Background

Myriota is a satellite communications company specialising in ultra low cost remote Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity. Recognised as a global leader in satellite IoT, Myriota recently closed a $20m Series A funding round with investors including Boeing HorizonX Ventures, Singtel Innov8 and Main Sequence Ventures. The company is entering an exciting phase of rapid global growth and expects to triple in size in the coming months.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for Myriota's HR by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and HR policies, programs, and practices. This is a part time role, based in Adelaide. 

Primary Objectives

  • Health and safety of the workforce.
  • Development of a superior workforce.
  • Development of the Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Development of an employee-oriented company culture that highly values  excellence, creativity, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.
  • Personal ongoing development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruiting and staffing;

  • Organizational development and departmental planning;

  • Performance management and improvement systems;

  • Employment and compliance (with regulatory concerns regarding employees);

  • Employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training;

  • Policy development and documentation;

  • Employee relations and employee / community communication;

  • Compensation and benefits administration;

  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health.

About you

  • Passionate about developing great teams and a happy, productive work culture 

  • Driven to produces a high standard of work 

  • This role is flexible with work hours and currently a part time position. There is room for this to extend to a full time role in future as the team expands. 

Qualifications

  • 5 years professional experience, including minimum two years working with technical staff 

  • Working in a high growth environment 

  • Proven experience developing HR policies and procedures 

  • Degree in Human Resource Management (or relevant tertiary studies)

  • Cert IV WHS

  • Return to work SA Coordinator

  • Occupational First Aid Cert (Valued)

  • HR Law experience is advantageous
