The Role

Currently we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team.  Reporting directly to the Group CEO, Jonas Australia this advisory role will be hands-on by engaging with our business units across Australia and New Zealand, currently numbering six.  We are a very acquisitive company and expect this number to grow significantly over the next few years.  The role is based in our South Brisbane office.  

The role’s primary focus is to partner with leaders as a trusted advisor in all aspects of people management and engagement by providing educated, informed and professional advice.  A commercially focused individual who can influence and achieve outcomes through effective communication and stakeholder engagement will succeed in this key position. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver best practices in HR across the various business units. 
  • Stakeholder management.  Provide advice and support to the various business leaders.
  • Identify and increase talent throughout the organisation by creating and/or leading professional development programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of employment law and ability to facilitate grievance processes and dispute resolutions. 
  • Lead remuneration reviews and reward & recognition program.
  • Provide analysis and trend reporting on a variety of HR metrics.

 

About You

  • You have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience at a senior level.
  • You possess a strong business acumen and commercial mindset.  
  • Spreadsheets don’t scare you, you use them for analysis, reporting and supporting business decisions.  
  • You are not a lawyer, but you possess an in-depth knowledge of Australian employment law and are confident to manage end to end complex ER and IR issues. If you have experience with NZ employment this would be a bonus.
  • You have a proven track record to develop and implement HR best practices.   
  • It goes without saying but you posses a high level of integrity with a focus on adhering to core values and beliefs.
  • You remain calm, cool and collected under pressure, and still enjoy having a good laugh.
