The CEO Magazine

Bean Media Group is a young, dynamic media company with global headquarters on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. We produce the business publication The CEO Magazine, which is one of the most inspiring hard-copy and digital business publications for CEOs and business leaders globally.

The CEO Magazine has four offices worldwide and is distributed in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and India. The company also hosts the highly anticipated annual event The CEO Magazine’s Executive of the Year Awards in Australia. 

We currently have a new position for a Staff Writer to join our expanding editorial team. 
The CEO Magazine is comprised of four main sections: Inspire, Indulge, Invest and Innovate; and along with CEO and business leader interviews, we feature articles on technology, finance, marketing, and business plus lifestyle topics. Our global website also includes articles on exciting and exclusive destinations, travel tips, airlines, food, wine, style, products and more. Our aim is to offer readers some lighter, entertaining content, while still maintaining the thought-provoking, intelligent and informed tone of the magazine’s business section. 

The role

The role involves writing an eclectic mix of executive interviews from around the globe, as well as engaging content for the lifestyle section, as required, and regular contributions to theceomagazine.com. This is an extremely exciting role for the right person, who will report directly to the Content Editor.

 Tasks

Daily tasks include:
•    Composing interesting and varied questions for interviews with top business leaders from around the world
•    Conducting interviews with CEOs and business leaders via email, telephone, and in person
•    Writing and editing engaging executive interviews and company profiles
•    Writing well-researched and informative articles on a range of topics from management to finance, technology, health, travel, food and leisure
•    Transcribing interviews with an eye for accuracy and detail
•    Liaising with clients and attending some events
•    Assisting in preparing and planning upcoming magazines
 

Essential skills

You will need to have

  • A polished and professional phone manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Impeccable grammar and literacy 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to write to The CEO Magazine’s style, following our editorial style guide
  • An eagle-eye during proofreading 
  • The ability to work well as part of a team to meet deadlines
  • Initiative and be able to take on task ownership
