About the Role
The Programmer, On Demand role, reports to Program Manager, On Demand and is responsible for the programming and curation of content across On Demand & streaming platforms & products. Central to this role is the successful execution of multiple programming strategies for different customer types and devices.
Your purpose
- Create & accurately maintain compelling programming schedules across allocated content carousels / collections
- Contribute monthly stunt/themed collection ideas based on seasonal, topical & available new content
- Work closely with IPTV schedulers/publishers to ensure content appears correctly across all platforms & devices
- Work closely with the Acquisitions team to ensure content contracts are delivered and IBMS is updated correctly.
- Work closely with IP content to ensure timely processing and release of all digital media relevant to your content collections
- Work closely with Product & Operations to ensure Metadata accuracy across all relevant content
- Work closely with operations & graphics to ensure images represent your editorial planning and drive viewing and engagement across platforms & devices
- Analyse ratings on a daily and seasonal basis to understand performance, using data to inform all content choices and decisions
Your capability
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a Programming position in a television environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of the content and genres available on demand
- Ability to make considered & justifiable content decisions
- Exceptional eye for detail and ability to deliver accurate schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Understanding of scheduling and inventory systems and Program operations (IBMS & CMS knowledge would be an advantage)
