Small but established organisation is seeking an experienced and versatile IT Technical style person. Not seeking a network / systems administrator but it is rather a generalist support role. The functions are wide and varied. Will suit someone with a depth of experience who enjoys variety in their day/week/month. You may call yourself Technical Support / Co-ordinator / Manager / Officer etc. The title is not as important as your skill set, experience and attitude.
The nature of this role requires someone ideally with experience across:
- traditional IT Desktop / Helpdesk Support
- software / antivirus / etc
- CRM and report generation (Dynamics)
- Documentation and user training
- Working with service providers etc
- networks / servers / hardware / backups
The broad focus of this role and mandatory skills required:
- Assist the business executives in the smooth running of the technical environment
- Support a small but wide range of users
- Be the ‘can do’ go-to person for all matters technical
- Be proactive and strategic and ideally help this organisation to plan for their IT future...and potentially be a part of this
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Understanding:
- The full gamut of Microsoft / Windows suite
- Hardware and software support
- Ideally, experience (or working knowledge) of CRM - bonus if Dynamics
- Data - integrity, accuracy and security
- Reports experience
- If you have used or familiar with MS Project this would be helpful, but not mandatory
This role will initially suit someone available immediately, and is expected to be for an initial 3 month period while this person gets a handle on the day to day and ‘steadies the ship’. There is the potential for this role to become permanent for the right person who can both identify the IT blueprint moving forward and is then able and interested in delivering this.
