Our client is digitising the $6 trillion industry in which they are operating. The technology team operate within an Agile framework with 10+ cross functional squads (Product Owners, BA/Testers, Developers, Coaches) aligned across components and platforms.

You will be working in their core product team delivering fortnightly sprints, monthly maintenance releases and two major releases per year driven by financial compliance. The platform operates within a highly regulated, compliance driven environment and manages high volume transactions so operational performance is pivotal.

Measure of success:

• 3+ years in core Java Development - Java 7, Java 8
• Best practice design and development for performance within a high transaction, high volume and secure environment driven by financial and legal compliance
• Hands on authentication (Oauth, SAML, Spring Security)
• Strong Hibernate, JPA
• JBOSS or similar web application server (WebSphere, WebLogic)
• 1 year Oracle SQL, PL/SQL
• 12 months plus, strong Spring Framework (ideally beyond MVC - Spring Boot, Spring Security components ideal)
• API's, REST Web Services
• Experience with AWS (eg EC2, S3) highly regarded
• Docker and containers highly regarded
• JUnit for Unit Testing, Eclipse, GIT, JIRA
• SOAP
• Experience working in cross functional Agile teams and appreciation of DevOps, TDD nice to have
• An interest in self-development and new technologies is a MUST
