Senior Business Analyst (FX, Murex, WSS, PL/SQL, Risk, Agile) would be joining a Global IT Consultancy which is split into two practices, Vendor Solutions and Technology Consulting, both focused on the investment part of our banking customers here in Australia.

About the role

Senior Business Analyst (FX, Murex, WSS, PL/SQL, Risk, Agile) is required to join a Tier 1 Bank who is performing a full business and systems review to address impact and plan for future business model and requirements. As part of this Programme the Tier 1 Bank are looking to support various packages and vendor systems with a mixture of onsite SMEs and additional development and support.

Senior Business Analyst (FX, Murex, WSS, PL/SQL, Risk, Agile) has key responsibilities:

• The Business Analyst will work closely with the IT PM, onsite BA's and customer to define the functional requirements needed to support the business across the bank in the trading of new FX products and continuous improvement initiatives.
• This role will require day to day communication (written and verbal) with the on-site team
• As the team is small and agile it will require techno-functional banking expert
• Strong configuration of financial products
• Training/guidance to on-shore and offshore
• Analysis of client's Brexit requirements and will include working with the client to elicit requirements and document user stories in true agile development fashion
• Providing clear estimates of each required item of work by working closely with the various development teams impacted.
• Assist client in reporting and designing of standard and custom reports
• Documenting Business Requirements and Use cases for Developers and tester

Senior Business Analyst (FX, Murex, WSS, PL/SQL, Risk, Agile) will require Skills:

• Prior experience working with a vendor FX system implementation (front-2-back including finance and risk)
• 5+ years of industry experience, in either a relevant Consultancy role or with Tier 1/2 investment bank (on-shore or offshore)
• Experience of data analysis and mapping should be shown
• Past experience of eliciting user requirements, creating user epics/documenting user stories in an Agile fashion using JIRA will need to be demonstrated
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills must be demonstrated
• Good FX product knowledge is required - forwards, swaps, money markets
• Good understanding of back office FX confirmation and settlement process
• Maintains a sense of urgency and ability to prioritise / multi-task to deliver business value and meet project objectives
• Prior experience of WallStreet FX implementation (upgrade, migration) - desirable
• PL/SQL skills (preferred)
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willing to propose and implement new ideas

Senior Business Analyst (FX, Murex, WSS, PL/SQL, Risk, Agile) in the Domain: Markets /Institutional Banking. Knowledge of Murex and WSS is preferable
