About the Role...
Working within a small team of IT professionals, you will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, maintaining and optimising all networking, operating systems and software applications ensuring stability, integrity and efficiency of the in-house IT infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Manage virtual and physical servers and storage
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, software applications and system management tools
- Manage and administer Active directory domain and windows and server patching
- Perform upgrades and firmware patches for virtual infrastructure software and hardware
- Proactively ensure highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Participate in the on-call after hours support roster
About You...
As an IT Professional, you will have the ability to react quickly to issue, to quickly troubleshoot problems and be able to prioritise/manage workloads.
You have a proven history building strong relationships and have outstanding communication skills. You will have a friendly, professional and helpful approach when interacting with non-technical staff.
Essential qualities, behaviour & experience:
- Mandatory IT Tertiary qualifications e.g. Bachelor of IT, Computer Science or Elect Engineering
- At least 2 years’ relevant IT experience
- A proactive approach to solving problems and providing solutions to end user issues
- An eagerness to learn on the job and maintain an up-to-date knowledge
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
- Current Driver's Licence
Preferred technical experience:
- Windows server (including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)
- Networking technologies, switching, routers, optimisation and monitoring tools
- VMware technologies, vCenter, ESXi
- Enterprise SAN storage
- SQL Server
- Cloud
- Programming / scripting
