Position Title : Data Analyst
Location : Sydney CBD
Availability : Immediate
Duration: 6 months with potential extension.
Kelly government is recruiting for Data Analysts / Data Miners experienced in Application of advanced analytics, modelling and analysis techniques for 6 months role with an eminent Federal Government Client.
Duties include:
Application of advanced analytics, modelling and analysis techniques
Evaluation of outputs and development of recommendation actions based on the analytics insights
Application of business knowledge to understand (operational) drivers and challenges
Engagement with business teams to carry analytics use case work
Support the development and feasibility assessment of use cases
Improving data understanding in the department and preparation of modelling data sets
Liaison and collaboration across business teams to enhance business relationships
Development and feasibility assessment of use cases
Apply and uphold the APS values and code of conduct
Work collaboratively across the Section to deliver program of work
Prioritise and managing a program of work for a high performing virtal team within an Agile operating environment
Skills Required:
Advanced analytics techniques, such as:
(a) database and excel modelling,
(b) data mining,
(c) statistical modelling,
(d) text mining,
(e) sentiment analysis
(f) machine learning
(g) analytical segmentation
(h) simulation modelling
Solid data visualisation and presentation techniques
High level skills with SQL, SAS and Excel. Other coding experience would also be of benefit
Strong data preparation and manipulation skills
Solid experience with Enterprise Data Management
Ability to work in a geographically dispersed team/Ability to manage a geographically dispersed (Virtual) team
Qualification in Data Science, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Operational Research highly desirable
