Our client requires an Application/Database Administrator for a short-term contract requiring an immediate start.
  
With an initial term expected to be approximately 8 weeks, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the database. Duties may include ensuring optimal performance, fine tuning, backing up, troubleshooting, and making necessary changes.
  
Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the planning, design, implementation, performance tuning, and maintenance of SQL database systems used in my clients computing environment.
• Manage large scale, multi clusters and production database servers with a SQL2005, 2008 and 2012, Manage enterprise level backup and recovery.
• Trouble shoot server activity i.e.  Load, contention etc.
• Database operational, technical and configuration documentation.

  
What we are Seeking: 

• Strong Microsoft SQL Server 2005 , 2008 and 2012 DBA skills.
• Experience and understanding of MSSQL.
• An understanding of the data storage structure for tables and indexes.
• Proven ability to deliver technical solutions to business problems/requirements.
• Fantastic communication skills
