About the job

The role of the Technology Planning Lead, within Integrated Planning is responsible for the development and maintenance of a NEO integrated technology roadmap that will deliver future business operations capability for NEO which will enable NEO to achieve its operational objectives.

You will have a holistic understanding of the Systems Engineering (SEO) Service delivery processes and Network technology capability required to enable an operational organisation to achieve business outcomes in a cost effective and efficient manner in the delivery and assurance of a multi-technology network. This knowledge will support guiding and enabling the business to make key decisions on the long-term platforms and capability that NEO will need to invest in to achieve the future operational performance required.

As a cross-functional role you will have experience in engaging operational and delivery teams to be able to understand the complex environments and translate this into a clear and cohesive set of initiatives that will underpin the transformation of NEO to achieve and support scale. This role will require collaboration with subject matter experts (at all levels) within operational units of NEO to capture and document business cases and benefits to feed into the NEO Prioritisation processes.

A key part of this role is the collaboration with senior subject matter experts within operational units to understand and document solid business cases to be used in identifying potential business value and prioritisation of work within the operations function.

Skills must have  

• Solid understanding of Telco industry and technologies used by operational delivery groups
• A detailed understanding of operational activities in a telecommunications and IT industries. Demonstrated ability to work with large teams to develop their functional competencies through process improvements environment
• Demonstrated ability to translate business need into people, process and system requirements
• Foundation understanding of translating operational strategies into scopes of work; operational outcomes and business benefits
• Experience identifying, scoping and delivering transformation programs of work in the technology or IT space that supported driving operational improvements
• Solid foundation of Agile Program Delivery, across all practice disciplines, with a broad range of IT and Business focus.
