We are currently working with one of the largest Privately-Owned Service Providers based in Macquarie Park. Looking for a Network Consultant/Engineer, who will be focused around new projects. This role will consult with clients to provide network and security solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity as it will be part of the new services division of the organisation and you have an opportunity influence how successful they are moving forward. This role will be based in Macquarie but will have the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days a week pending on external meetings. It will be initially 6 months with a view to go perm
The Role
The Network Consultant/Engineer is responsible for providing expert consultation to customers in relation to documenting solution designs for pre-sales, implementing, operating and supporting their technology diverse IT environments.
- Detailed feasibility and implementation design and deployment of enterprise customer projects
- Coordinate technical activities with key internal and client stakeholders
- Develop technical change requests, migration and test plans
- Support Project Managers in managing project scope and risks effectively
- Support Pre-Sales Enterprise and Solution Architects in developing solutions and estimates
- Develop as-built and handover to BAU documentation
- Liaise with vendors, service providers and internal stakeholders to execute technical change
- Work with customers and stakeholders to document technical requirements
Key Skills
- Strong Communication skills and experience working at an MSP
- Demonstrable time management skills, exemplary communication skills and ability to self-manage.
- Strong documentation skills for design and technical project deliverables
- Project management skills, stakeholder management for smaller technical projects
- Expert level skills in one or more of the following key vendor areas CISCO Route Switch, Juniper, CISCO datacentre, CISCO UCS, CISCO WaaS, Meraki, HP Aruba, Palo Alto.
- Ability to learn new product updates and technologies
- Ability to communicate appropriately with client technical and executive staff
- Ability to provide accurate estimation in budget or schedule
- 7 years minimum experience in IT, concentrating on network engineering and project delivery
