- ABOUT THE ROLE -

XAM Consulting is a high-growth company and we have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Xamarin Development Consultant based in our Sydney CBD office.

XAM Consulting continues to grow through transformation phase that will deliver both beautiful and functional web and mobile applications across multiple sectors. 

Your primary objective will be to develop world class mobile applications for our customers. You will be working on client sites throughout Sydney, on exciting and interesting projects for periods between 1 to 12 months at a time. You will join a team of Australia's finest developers in the Xamarin space, including 2 Microsoft recognized Xamarin MVP's.

You will be focused on ensuring customers have great results on the their development projects and choose to continue their journey with XAM Consulting for many years.

The key areas of focus will include:

• Consulting with clients on Xamarin and mobile best practice
• Developing mobile applications using Xamarin technologies
• Working with clients through the full SDLC

You'll also be provided with access to the world's best business training and education so that you continue to develop your skills.

- WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR -

• 2+ years of experience with Xamarin Mobile Development Platform
• Excellent client facing skills
• Experience with Xamarin Development in Classic and with Forms
• High proficiency coding in C#, .NET
• Experience with consuming and understanding of web services
• Experience with MVVM frameworks (e.g. MvvmCross) a plus
• Experience with native development would be advantageous
• Integration experience to back-end database or transactional systems
• Experience with Agile, or Agile-based, development methodologies
• Native Android and iOS development experience a plus
• Self-starter eager to learn new technologies; enthusiastic about researching opportunities to grow and improve your skill set
• Exposure to a consultancy environment: experience working with clients and understand the relationship value with clients
• Excellent communicator (written and oral), willing to help out a teammate and pitch in when needed on a team
• Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency
