The role would ideally suit someone with a background in a NOC or similar with a desire to move into a project management role, preferably with some project related experience (coordinator level would be okay) detail as follows:
  
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders to preserve quality of the network
  • Plan and monitor complex cable migration and drive relocation works
  • Investigate fibre faults and work with NOC and field staff to drive speedy resolution
  • Coordinate with field teams, internal delivery teams and NOC for required information and action.
  • Project management to ensure quality/time/cost on relocation projects, processing financials and ensuring accurate as built
  • Ensure WHS standards adhered to at all times
  • On call rostering and after hours manned cutovers required
  
Key Skills/Knowledge:
  • Highly organised and structured in approach to daily tasks, able to work with competing priorities, manage time and meet task deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to coordinate between various internal and external teams including NOC, field staff, contractors, customers, carriers.  Communicate effectively to all stakeholders in a timely manner, deliver bad news early.
  • Excellent problem solving ability for fault finding and speedy resolution
  • Software competency – Geographical Information Systems (QGIS), Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, risk management, project reporting
  • Experience with planned event/change management processes – desirable
  • Technical knowledge:
    • Inside and outside plant infrastructure and install/construction techniques
    • Optical fibre principles, testing and fault troubleshooting techniques
