About the Company
SunWater is a bulk water infrastructure developer and manager, playing a key role in Australia’s water industry, owning and managing water infrastructure assets and supplying approximately 40% of all water used commercially in Queensland.
Newly created Business Analyst roles to work as part of a larger business transformation portfolio. This leading client is currently undertaking a number of projects to correct a long-term underinvestment in our ICT and supporting systems and processes. The purpose of this role is to assist with the implementation of businesses technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining and documenting the business, functional and technical requirements of the projects, and communicating them clearly to the project team, SMEs, vendors and other stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will be able:
- Apply business analysis methodologies and techniques to identify, design and document business, functional and technical requirements;
- Assist in the development of the business case for each project that includes the high-level strategy, budget, timeline, technology stack and preferred vendor selection with clearly defined objectives and benefits;
- Provide business expertise in defining, validating and delivering business requirements that inform solution design;
- Develop business processes documentation as required for current state (as-is) and future state (to-be); and
- Document business and technical requirements in a way that guides the definition of technology solutions.
Your experience shall include:
- Excellent understanding of business process mapping, gathering of business, functional and technical requirements, and translating to business systems solution design and technology selection;
- A strong ability to estimate, plan and manage business analysis work schedules;
- An ability to prepare for and facilitate face to face workshops essential; and
- A strong quality orientation across a wide range of Business Analysis techniques and deliverables.
