About The Position:
Your team is composed of Systems Administrators, Technical Analysts and other Technology staff members.
You will be responsible for the installation, management, maintenance, support and optimisation of the organisation's national security solutions. This role will also include running regular vulnerability assessments and implementing technical remediation.
You will provide technical expertise in the area of I.T Security, support the wider team through help-desk requests and projects work. You will also be tasked with providing technical mentoring and leadership to the organisation's Technology Team.
Your day to day activities will include performing vulnerability assessments, maintenance and management of the organisations SIEM solution, App Whitelisting and Firewall management.
It is an expectation that all team members participate in an on-call roster for level 3 support and security incident response.
You Will Possess:
- Established and relevant IT Security experience
- A Bachelor-level Information Technology qualification. E.G. BS in Computer Science/Engineering.
- Applicants with proven incidental experience will also be considered
- A strong working knowledge of security solutions and best practices
- Strong hands-on Operating Systems experience (networking, security, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure problems
- Strong project management skills including contingency and rollback mindset
- Able to work as part of a close knit team and act on issues without immediate supervision.
- Enthusiasm & proactive attitude
- Excellent analytic interpretation and problem solving abilities
- Highly tuned organisational skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Australian PR or citizenship
