We're looking for a Software Engineer to join the Sydney product team. In this role, you'll primarily be responsible for:
- Working between Software Engineering and Systems Engineering
- Enhancing engineering productivity by improving tooling and monitoring
- Monitoring, managing and maintaining the stability and performance of our infrastructure
- Collaborating with our product engineers to deliver scalable solutions
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, knowing Ruby or Go is a big plus
- In-depth understanding of UNIX/Linux system internals, TCP/IP networking, load balancers, web servers, caching
- Well-versed in scripting (Bash/Ruby/Python) and infrastructure automation
- Good knowledge of computer science fundamentals (algorithms and data structures)
- Knowing containers, especially Docker, Kubernetes and AWS is a big plus
- Cloud native mindset, including microservices, resilience and scale-out
- Extensive experience in distributed systems, databases, and performance analysis
