Role Purpose:

Ensure operational security by managing effective business relationship with the external SOC provider; ensure data and systems remain safe and that potential threats and incidents are effectively addressed. Monitor applications to identify a possible cyber-attack or intrusion (event) and determine if it is a real, malicious threat (incident), and respond to mitigate and remove security risks.

CAPABILITIES

Operations Management

  • Manage delivery of security tools, controls and measures
  • Ensure incidents are properly identified, analysed, communicated, actioned/defended, investigated and reported
  • Ensure response to threats in timely fashion
  • Establish and implement security measures
  • Cooperate in developing Lion’s Disaster Recovery Plans and work with the security architect to assure solutions are fit for purpose
  • Test DR strategy and plan regularly
  • Create and utilise Service Catalogues
  • Conduct periodic assessments and audits of service levels (SLA’s and adherence to the SLA’s) and processes to understand their maturity and verify compliance to them
  • Measure and review the completion of actions created from Post Implementation Review (PIR)
  • Provide a view of service improvement across the IT organisation

Service Planning & Design:

  • Assure service partners are performing and complying with standards and policies and moving toward strategy implementation
  • Plan and optimise resource capacity and availability to deliver against existing, evolving and new service level requirements
  • Ensure IT services are delivered effectively and efficiently within defined service levels

Services, Policies, Standards & Strategy Management

  • Ensure compliance with Lion’s standards and guidelines
  • Develop and implement Cyber Security policies and standards
  • Contribute in IT Team strategy implementation

People & Culture:

  • Provide sound leadership, promote and support Lion's culture, engage in personal and teams' development and high performance achievement
  • Promote processes and behaviours that place customer at the heart
  • Ensure personal development plans are up to date

Qualification & Knowledge (not all essential):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Security or a related field
  • CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • CISM: Certified Information Security Manager
  • ISO 27001/27002, ITIL and COBIT frameworks • Strategies and practices for security architecture.
  • Auditing and risk assessment methodologies
  • Applicable privacy and security laws, regulations and standards.
  • Sysadmin skills (Linux/Mac/Windows); relevant programming and scripting skills
  • Security certifications from industry recognised bodies (such as Forensic Analyst, Forensic Examiner, etc)

Experience (not all essential):

  • 7+ years’ experience developing, implementing and assuring IT security
  • Network security architecture development and definition
  • Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems
  • Perimeter security controls - firewall, IDS/IPS, network access control and network segmentation
  • Router, switch and VLAN security; wireless security
  • Security concepts related to DNS, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services and DDOS mitigation technologies
  • Familiar with using data visualization tools and penetration testing tools
  • Experienced in problem and incident management
  • Demonstrated effective outsource relationship management
