Data Analyst (Cloud Computing, ETL, Reporting)

We are the technology innovator in media, driving the transformation of Nine to an integrated media company.
The team looks after all the commercial and audience data for the business.  You will work with the wider team to enable customer billing and financial / management reporting and audience tracking. You will create and maintain the audience data asset for commercial use as well as product design.
 

• Perform ETL tasks that are part of data warehouse build
• Ongoing analysis using AWS cloud services such as Athena, Spectrum and Redshift
• You will need to Create statistical models and ad-hoc analyses to support business need using R/Python or similar
• apply advanced analytics skills to generate business insights
• Create visualisations of data
• Monitor current models in place and recommend changes to models
• Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements
• Perform ad-hoc custom audience analysis and reporting
• Create visualisations of data
• Create statistical models and ad-hoc analyses using R/Python or similar

 
Essential experience & skills

• Build and optimise predictive models and is essential using R/Python
• Experience in working in a big data environment
• AWS Cloud computing experience
• Strong data manipulation skills using SQL or similar
• Visual C#Java – not essential but would be beneficial
• , working with MPP platform such as Redshift
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of dimensional data warehouse design and implementation
• Demonstrated experience (4+ years) in analysis, design, development and deployment of reports

 
Desirable experience & skills

• Working knowledge of ad serving platforms and their configuration
• SSIS skills are not essential, but would be beneficial
• Ability to Bbuild and optimisee predictive models and is essential using R/Python
• Java would be beneficial
