Senior Business Analyst (Insurance Azure Open Source MS Dynamics Navision) to join a Global Systems Provider on a Permanent Basis providing SDLC solutions to Insurance Companies based here in Sydney - ($130k - $140k) - SydneyCBD
Senior Business Analyst (Insurance Azure Open Source MS Dynamics Navision) - Purpose of Role
- Ensure that the business requirements of clients are fully understood, defined and documented
- Translate requirements into clear specifications for solution architects and developers -SDLC
- Maintain project plans
- Provide support to Project Managers or perform where a Project Manager is not appropriate (e.g. due to scope or customer capability) the tasks of the Project Manager will fall to the Senior Business Analyst. These are identified below.
- Provide support to Application Support Analysts
- Provide support to customers, post-Go Live, in conjunction with Application Support Analysts
Senior Business Analyst (Insurance Azure Open Source MS Dynamics Navision) - Key Accountabilities:
- Write project documentation including meeting minutes, action items, Business Requirements and Functional Requirements specification.
- Maintain Action Item register and Issues / Risk register for each project
- Produce accurate minutes & identify action items from each workshop; circulate minutes to client and project team after review by Project Manager
- Liaise with client to ensure that the FRD is accurate, complete and comprehensive
- Ensure client sign off on FRD, by due date, after review by Project Manager
- Provide FRD to Solution Architect and Developers; brief Architects and Developers
- Capture and maintain information gained and record knowledge in our system; set up all internal project Tasks
- Advocate the appropriate level of quality through the resolution of important defects; work with solution architects and project managers to ensure the software development process has an appropriate level of testing
- Work with Application Support Analysts to develop test plan to ensure functional requirements per FRD are met
- Support Application Support Analysts through testing phase
- Ensure that all documentation accurately reflects the current status of changes and outstanding issues so that the documentation reflects the application features and functions; produce supplementary FRDs for increases in project scope or subsequent phases
- Facilitate final signoff with appropriate and customer personnel to release code to production
- Conduct walkthroughs of system with Users
Senior Business Analyst (Insurance Azure Open Source MS Dynamics Navision) - Key Responsibilities
- 5 - 10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a client facing role in medium sized organisations
- Experience in analysing business problems, determining appropriate solutions and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- General Insurance experiencePreferably with UML experience
