We are currently looking for a Security Analyst for a 12 month contract engagement + extensions) with a large government department based in Brisbane CBD.The Project:
As part of the departments Network Services restructure in 2013, Core funded full-time employees were assigned to Business As Usual Break/Fix. Project support work is undertaken by contracted Network and Security Engineers. This Assignment Brief relates to the role of Security Analyst, within the Project arm of the Cyber Security Operations Centre.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical input into project migration activities.
- Deliver security implementations in alignment with approved designs and security frameworks.
- Configure and manage security devices in align with existing standards
- Troubleshoot and manage technical migrations within a virtual firewalling and Networking Environment.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure that the solution complies with the department's regulations (pre-installation).
- Produce relevant documentation for handover to operational staff.
- Report to the ICT Component Project Manager in a resource capacity only. Operational line management is via the Network Services Manager.
- Provide technical input and Manage Change Control.
- Deliver Security solutions-based to meet design and regulatory standards.
- Document all solutions to a high and accurate standard.
- Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCNA/CCSP or equivalent experience) qualification.
- In depth knowledge and experience of Checkpoint and Citrix Netscaler technologies.
- Experience in VMware, NSX and virtual networking would be highly advantageous.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in multiple ICT network domains within a large complex ICT environment.
- The ability to undertake mentoring activities for Council staff.
- Strong personal communication and consultation skills appropriate for all levels of the organisation, including proven ability to prepare effective reports and address meetings.
