Semaphore IT works closely with Victorian Education Department to provide IT support to various schools and colleges around Victoria.
We are the Technology Partner @ Work.
Looking for an experience Specialist Technician to work in a western suburb school. This role is for a senior tech who would lead a small team of 4, manage the school's network, advise and suggest changes/improvement to the management. Good documentation skills and ability to interact with staff and students in a pleasant manner is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, tracking and implementing ICT services
- Provide support for Local Area Network and Wide Area Network
- Look after client's Internet services, proxy servers and intranet
- Provide hardware, software and application support
- Provide Email and Electronic Library Services
- Provide remote management services
- Assist in applications and technology roll outs
- Bulk ipad management and rollout
Education & Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications and relevant certifications are desirable.
- Minimum 2 years hands on ICT support experience in Australia.
- Relevant experience in a Government School network setting, along with knowledge of wireless deployment will be an advantage
- Efficient in Microsoft OS and application environment.
- Skills in administering and supporting Active Directory (2012 onward), OSX Server, Desktop OS (Windows 7/8/10), Tablet (iOS and Windows)
- Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office 365
- Experience in desktop, network, server and Wireless hardware and deployment
- Experience with Virtual Server (HyperV, VMware)
- Deployment and enterprise management of mobile/tablet devices
- High level of written and oral communication
- Be a strong team player and Self-motivated
- Strong documentation skills
- The applicant would also need to demonstrate the ability to plan and run ICT professional development sessions and work collaboratively with the Schools' ICT Management.
- Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies
- Must have driver license with vehicle and require Working with Children Check if appointed.
