A great opportunity to work as the Solutions Architect responsible for the development and delivery of the Patient Flow Transport Unit Enhancement, design and strategy for Western NSW Local Health District.

The Patient Flow Transport Unit is responsible for providing transport for public hospital patients within the WNSW LHD and outlying Health Districts:

• Transferring in-patients from Western NSW LHD Public Hospitals to another public hospital facility
• Transporting patients from Western NSW LHD Public Hospitals to medical appointments at either another hospital or private sector provider.
• Transferring in-patient to Private hospitals, Nursing Homes, Hostels and to their private residences to assist NSW Ambulance Service and patient flow where possible.

Responsibilities:

• You will ensure that business, information, application and technical architecture aligns to business strategy.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with established agency project management methodology
• Ensure alignment and conformance of the solution to the Enterprise Architecture direction
• Participate in contract negotiations and support high-level consultation in relation to architectural aspects of procured solutions
• Exercise authoritative technical judgments on proposals put forward from the vendors and customers to ensure required outcomes
• Undertake best practice reviews of contemporary developments and trends in ICT architecture
• Advise strategic projects and programs to ensure that strategic infrastructure is reused and leveraged to reduce duplication and optimise resource use.
• Consult and advise on technology procurement, evaluating technology solutions for suitability to business requirements, architecture and standards and recommend their procurement and implementation

Criteria:

• Experience in the Solutions and Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF) of Clinical Systems and Health Administration systems, their interoperability/integration (HL7, Rhapsody, JCAPS) and enterprise patient workflow for a 360 view of a patient throughout all a patient services.
