THE ROLE:
This role will primarily focus on working the service desk, answering calls in a timely manner and trouble shooting and resolving L1/L2 support cases and escalating more complex support cases to the relevant senior technicians. It will suit a positive, flexible and results driven candidate who takes ownership of tasks through to completion and enjoys working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills and pride yourself on delivering a high level of technical achievement in every instance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Managing the IT Service Desk and supporting clients with support issues in a timely and professional manner. Ensuring SLAs and customer service standards are met.
  • Providing support and getting involved with projects (Server Hardware Deployments, Desktop Deployments, Anti-Virus, Office 365 Migrations, Google Apps, VMWare Exchange and SQL).
  • Networking – ADSL, Fiber Network turn ups and troubleshooting, LAN Cabling, VLAN’s.
  • Backup and Recovery.
  • Working closely with technical leads on other knowledge domains.
  • Administering and maintaining a range of networks and systems.
  • Providing Network and Systems guidance and support to key clients.
  • ITIL Service Management.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate for this role will need to be structured and organised, ensure SLAa are met, be proactive and have strong attention to detail.
  • You have experience working on a service desk supporting multiple clients and or you have MSP experience.
  • IT experience in multi-server, multi-site, multi-domain environments.
  • 1+ years’ experience in medium to large sized IT environments.
  • 1+ years’ experience in supporting systems infrastructure (Systems, Storage, Virtualisation).
  • Tertiary qualification and Industry certification– IT, Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience. MCITP, MCSE, VCP, CCA.
  • Strong Experience (and preferably certifications) in VMware, Microsoft Server Suite of products.
  • An effective team player with excellent customer service and communication skills.
