The Company:
My client are professionals within the e-commerce space, working across enterprise applications for both mobile and web applications to well established tier-1 clients largely within Melbourne's CBD to deliver better user experience. They are a well-known industry leader with high performance teams in both Melbourne and Sydney.
The Opportunities:
This is a unique and challenging opportunity for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer which calls for a combination of leadership, operations and application development skills. You may be tasked with mentoring others (ops and software engineers) to scale the backend and help improve, maintain and build automation for continuous integration.
Demonstrated Responsibilities:
- Experience with any / all: Puppet, Chef, Jenkins,
- Understanding of Application Architecture, the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Outstanding consultative / client facing skills and experience (essential).
- Excellent communication skills, polished and articulate English speaker
- Strong Scripting with any of the following: Java, Python, Ruby, Groovy, JavaScript, Bash/Shell, ANT, Maven.
- Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Mysql
- Experience with code repositories: Subversion / SVN, Git, Mercurial etc.
- An understanding of Applications, Operations and Infrastructure relating to deployment.
- Familiarity of VMware, load balancing and networking practices
- Strong documentation and technical analysis skills.
- Enthusiasm for technology and building quality enterprise-grade solutions.
