A major Australian telco is looking for a Network Engineer with strong Cisco or Juniper experience to perform the transition of enterprise customer VPNs and/or Managed Network Services from the existing copper-based services to NBN-based carriage.  This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend, based in the Sydney CBD. 

In this role you will:

• Work with key vendor accounts including Cisco or Juniper
• Perform transitional activities with IP networks and associated products
• Configure, test, commission, and accept new customer services and Network elements
• Provide pro-active change management with customers to ensure that customer impact of service/network changes and planned outages are minimised

 

To be considered for the role you will have a mix of the following skills and experience:

• 3+ years networking working experience with Cisco or Juniper qualifications
• Understanding of BGP
• Capability to build and troubleshoot IP Services including routers and VPNs
• Strong customer and stakeholder communications
• Cisco CCNP OR Juniper JNCP qualifications (or CCNA / JNCA) -- Preferred
• Agile mindset and experience working in Telcos a plus -- Preferred
