The Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to deliver a large-scale integration project. This role will be a 12-month fixed term contract based in Brisbane. The successful candidate will manage and deliver the overall project, consisting of multiple project teams both on a national and international level as well as subcontracted suppliers.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Overall commercial, technical and legal project responsibility;
• Develop and implement all project plans and project management activities including project organization, reporting, controls and overall roll out plan;
• Create and maintain budget planning, forecasting and financial reporting;
• Direct the specific set up of all project controlling and co-ordination structures according to PM-standards;
• Lead all project related meetings, e.g. kick off meeting, project start workshop, core team meeting;
• Coordinate communication flow between customer, sub-contractors and local and international internal stakeholders;
• Maintain regular reporting for the Project Steering Committee and to the customer;
• Monitor project risks and define risk-minimizing measures; and
• Manage the contract, change and claim processes.

About you

• 8+ years experience in delivering large, complex, integration projects;
• Electronics or other relevant engineering qualification;
• Professional Project Management qualification highly regarded;
• Strong IT user, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly;
• Ability to manage across local and international delivery teams;
• Negotiating with multi-level organisations;
• Experience with budget planning, forecasting and financial reporting; and
• Delivering subcontracts to Australian Government clients.
