Geospatial Mobile App Developer
Are you a geospatial mobile app developer looking for a great opportunity to get in early with a growing company?
Emapper is an environmental data platform that uses UAV, remote sensing and terrestrial sensor data to map, monitor and manage the environment. With a core group of customers on board we’re now looking to expand our platform to include mobile data collection.
The position
We are looking for a geospatial mobile application developer to join our small development team in East Perth. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing a mobile mapping application that allows users to collect activity based environmental data.
This is a contract position starting immediately. Suitable remote candidates also considered.
Required skills/experience:
- Bachelor in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related degree.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- 3+ years experience.
- Experience with building for Android and iOS either natively or using frameworks (React Native, Cordova, Xamarin).
- Knowledge of GIS concepts, standards, and tools.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide advice on mobile excellence and best practices.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and using current software engineering practices.
- Participate in discovery and user experience design process.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into a solution.

Having been recently spun out of the environmental consultancy Astron (www.astron.com.au), Emapper is now building out it’s platform to service other areas of environmental management.
