The Current Opportunity
As the IT Manager, you will facilitate the strategic, operational and financial management of IT and telecommunication services within the business. You will ensure business and business support systmes are alligned to business needs and intergrated to deliver value. In addition to this the IT manager will manage and coordinate the delivery of a quality infrastructure and service desk function and drive measureable improvements across the business.

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the following

• Management of ICT, System Support and Business Process Improvement team
• Manage relationship with ICT, Business System and Support System Vendors and monitor delivery quality to ensure a model of continuous process improvement in service delivery
• Manage the support, development and integration of business and support systems across the organisation
• Develop, implement and monitor a Business Wide Process Improvement Practice and a best practice model for delivering measured business improvement
• Undertake and manage relevant System aligned projects as required
• Provide strategic ICT planning and ensure alignment with company-wide strategies and turn agreed plans into effective actions
• Manage website/intranet development and security
• Co-ordinate the development, implementation, monitoring and operational readiness of the ICT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan and ensure ICT systems and services comply with business continuity requirements
• Develop and maintain ICT policies and procedures
• Prepare ICT operational and capital budgets on an annual basis
• Undertake risk assessments for areas of responsibility as required
• Carry out other duties that are within the limits of the employee’s skill, competence and training, as required.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology with 10 years’ experience within an ICT environment and a minimum 5 years’ experience at managerial level.
• Strong project management background with demonstrated experience in managing Capital and Expense Budgets
• Demonstrated experience with business process improvement and experience with at least one mainstream methodology
• Ability to compose and implement strategic plans in a corporate environment
• Strong experience working with and managing vendors to scope, source and evaluate services
• Experience with ERP applications
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships with both internal and external groups.
• Experience working with staff at all levels, and adapting your approach to meet that of varying audiences.
• High level interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to foster effective working relationships with line managers and gain co-operation in the development and implementation of processes and/or projects.
