About the Role

We’re looking for a Delivery Team Lead to manage a cross-functional team of technologists responsible for building our next generation, web-based trading product – Viewpoint.   It’s of the most significant product initiatives undertaken at IRESS in recent years. It’s a relatively new product, used by leading financial services firms in several countries. Video of the product can be found here - https://goo.gl/D1WQxF. You’ll play a key role in the continuous improvement of one of our flagship products as we grow our global client base.

• Lead and excite the team to produce the best outcomes
• Tech stack includes Javascript, Knockout, React, Redux, Web pack, HTML 5, CSS 3, Node.JS and ASP.Net.
• Tools include JIRA, Bitbucket, Team City, Artifactory, AWS
• Drive innovative ways of working as we introduce Agile practices
• Manage and contribute to the team’s sustainable continued delivery of features
• Manage resourcing, capacity and capability of the delivery team
• Manage performance, rewards and promotes excellence
• Collaborate with members of other delivery teams to ensure knowledge is shared
• Participate in the planning and prioritisation of work across the delivery pipeline
• Ensure features are correctly migrated to production
• Promote and support the team’s methodologies and participate in their continuous improvement
• Drives and promotes quality, simplicity and innovation
• Deliver features in an incremental, iterative manner
• Collaborate to deliver features and capability in alignment with our strategic objectives
• Ability to lead people of varying capabilities and backgrounds in an exceptional way.
• Contribute to a huge initiative to move to AWS, introduce DevOps practices and Microservices
• Newly refurbished CBD office which includes collaborative working spaces, games area, meditation room and café area.
• Be a catalyst for change and forward thinking.

About You

• Similar experience as Team Lead, Team Leader, Delivery Lead, Technical Lead, Development Lead etc.
• Experience building Single Page Apps using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Knockout, Backbone etc.
• Ability to lead people of varying capabilities and backgrounds in an exceptional way.
• Detailed knowledge of software delivery
• Ability to think critically, deeply and quantitatively about technical and delivery issues
• Solid influencing and collaboration skills
