An established, delivery-focused organisation is seeking to engage an experienced Project Manager to assist with the delivery of a large ICT applications program. You will manage the delivery of a range of business improvement and transformation projects to contribute to the achievement of Program objectives.

This is an initial 3 month contract opportunity, with the possibility of an extension, located in Brisbane CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring projects within the Program's progress and performance is managed, monitored and reported.
  • Manage the project team’s performance by ensuring objectives and tasks are clearly understood.
  • Support the SCRUM processes for the projects within the Program to ensure that the tasks are effectively planned and completed.
  • Clearly communicate performance and behavioural expectations, and resolve issues constructively to achieve required outcomes.
  • Be available for project delivery framework reviews, processes, tools and template reviews and identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to ensure project success.
  • Monitor all project risk, issue and task status reporting and assess alignment with regulatory, audit and risk management compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships, regularly engaging with stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
  • Develop and provide expert review of draft papers proposed to be submitted to relevant governance groups.
  • Provision of training, coaching and guidance to Program and project teams on evolving frameworks and processes, specifically the project delivery framework and use of project management products such as JIRA.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to consult, influence and facilitate to achieve outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Demonstrated ability to lead project delivery functions in a large, complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project budget, including the ability to forecast cash-flow, analyse actual spend and identify variance trends to enable early intervention.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks and issues, and resource constraints to successfully deliver project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage delivery, governance and reporting to successfully deliver multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement across one or more industry sectors.
  • Prince2 and/or SCRUM Certification.

Highly Desirable

  • Degree level qualification preferably majoring in Business or Information Technology, or a lesser qualification coupled with significant industry experience in an appropriate discipline.
