Based in Kurnell, an exciting opportunity exists for a sophisticated and intuitive Assistant Product Manager/Sales Support Specialist to join the innovative Software Team, reporting to the Business Manager – Software. What you will do in this role:

  • Undertake training with relevant vendor subject matter experts to build and maintain individual vendor knowledge.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer licensing and annuity enquiries and provide quotations and place orders as required.
  • Provide assistance to Resellers on licensing programs, and recommend complementary licensing programs/products relevant to query from Reseller, with efficient, prompt, clear and concise answers to telephone queries and email enquiries
  • Provide suggestions to improve existing business procedures and processes and maintain accurate work instructions to ensure any process changes are published through the quality system
  • Build and maintain relationships with licensing and annuity Reseller contacts on an on-going basis
  • Effectively assist in the sales cycle for the pool of New, Upgrade & Annuity opportunities on a monthly basis to ensure that the team budget is achieved
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal sales staff, product management and all relevant internal departments.
  • Maintain an understanding of the role of Dicker Data's pre-sales/post-sales technical personnel and ensure these personnel are involved in and effectively advised of customer requirements where required.
  • Assist the Vendor Manager from time to time in activities including but not limited to reseller follow up on pipeline, telemarketing to support sales and marketing campaigns & other administrative activities as required.
  • Assist the Product Manager as required and be able to fulfil their role during periods of absence.
  • Produce reseller breadth reports to evaluate growth of reseller licensing base, and put together monthly emails on hot tips and updates on licensing programs to licensing customers
  • Organise and/or assist with customer licensing presentations/ seminars and training seminars as required.
  • Meet with the vendor on regular basis with Product Manager – review any issues, opportunities and plans. Make sure that a good vendor relationship is maintained at all times by meeting all vendor expectations
  • Take ownership of escalations and work with relevant personnel to ensure the necessary corrective action
