Randstad are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in the heart of Brisbane CBD for a Senior PMO Analyst.

The role is responsible for providing expert PMO delivery assurance for the IS Leadership Team through conducting risk analysis, identifying critical control points and preventive measures, conducting process investigations, facilitating issue resolution, and implementing corrective actions.

It has a specific focus on providing advice and guidance to the IS Delivery Team on all day-to-day project management functions.

This is a 6 month initial contract with likely extension.

Responsibilities:

• Measure, analyse and report performance and risk profiles of programs and projects including financial measurement, status reporting, stage gate checklist review, and Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) adherence.
• Assess the efficacy of delivery models and enabling frameworks and services to identify instances or trends where implementation has highlighted opportunities for improvement. Take responsibility for leading the required changes, working with relevant areas in IS to ensure cohesive responses and appropriate accountability/s is maintained.
• Facilitate and continuously improve the program and project change control process, ensuring escalation of programs and projects in exception and maintenance of approved baselines across source systems.
• Develop and implement assurance plans to undertake program and project health-check and with the ICT Centre of Excellence Lead, post implementation reviews including collecting, analysing data, and producing and presenting findings and recommendations reports.
• Develop and/or provide review of papers to be submitted to divisional and portfolio level governance groups, prior to endorsement and presentation by the Senior Manager PMO and/or Senior Manager ICT Solution Delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement of program and project management processes, and develop and deliver training materials to improve program and project manager understanding and capability.
• Maintain currency of PDLC tools and frameworks, including template updates, framework updates and version control and provide ongoing support of ISPMO processes, frameworks and tools.

About you:

• Proven conceptual, analysis and problem solving skills including the ability to gather, interpret and document meaningful reports/results.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills particularly with respect to working with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure successful program and project delivery.
• Strong written and oral communication skills (including the ability to establish relationships, facilitate training in tools and processes, consult and influence both business and technical people).
• Competent in developing and interpreting financial data and tracking the costs and budgets for program and projects

• Advanced skills in MS Office tools, in particular MS Excel and MS Project Online.

Knowledge and Experience

• Quality assurance of large and complex ICT program and projects including experience in monitoring, analysis and reporting program and project performance and insights to senior managers and executives.
• Proven broad understanding of ICT project benefits, risk and issues management and processes at both a project and program level.
• Proven knowledge and experience in undertaking compliance assurance reviews against existing standards, methods, and processes.
• Experience in driving continuous improvement of existing standards, methods and processes towards higher maturity and industry best practice.
