ICT MANAGER - Part time

Life Education Queensland is a health promotion charity and the State's largest non-profit provider of drug and health education to children. 

The ICT Manager is responsible for the development and effective implementation of ICT infrastructure that supports Life Education Queensland’s service delivery, fundraising and marketing objectives. Working with the CEO and senior managers, you will identify needs and develop ICT solutions that enhances organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This role is important in ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to the capture, storage, management and protection of client and supporter data. 

This is a part time role working 23 hours/week.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • evaluating the organisation’s existing information and communication technology infrastructure 
  • working with CEO and managers to identify the organisation’s business needs 
  • finding solutions to those needs, including how data is captured, stored and managed effectively and efficiently, as well as how we use technology to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders 
  • working with suppliers to purchase technology solutions that are cost effective and appropriate 
  • ensuring the smooth running and ongoing maintenance of all ICT systems to support the day to day operations of the business 
  • supporting and training Life Education Queensland staff in the efficient use of those systems 
  • securing the organisation’s data and customer privacy 
  • resolving incidents, problems and requests in a timely manner 

SELECTION CRITERIA 

  1. Proven success in a similar position, managing ICT infrastructure environments 
  2. A relevant tertiary qualification in an IT field and other relevant industry qualifications 
  3. Excellent communication skills and attitude to supporting and servicing stakeholder needs 
  4. A clear thinker who can analyse problems and propose effective and efficient solutions 
  5. Strategic thinker – an ability to understand the needs of the business 
  6. A passion to work for Life Education and our cause of empowering young people to make safer and healthier choices
