Join our Commodities and Global Markets technology team as an experienced and outcome focused Test Automation Engineer/Lead to assist in the design, planning and delivery of a continuous and automated testing capability, strategy and culture.
This role calls for your experience as an automation testing specialist, and high level of skill in crafting automated executable test plans, with prior experience supporting a continuous integration and development (CI/CD) pipeline in an Agile/DevOps Cloud based environment in the Banking/Financial Services sector. This hands-on technical leadership role will see you working closely with Dev/DevOps teams and business stakeholders in an Agile fashion. As our successful candidate you will be aiming to be a test automation architect within 2 years and will be responsible for driving the test strategy forward, documenting and promoting test standards, best practices and patterns.
We envisage for you to be successful in this role you will have 8+ years of QA industry experience with at least 5+ years of proven experience in test automation. As an automation testing evangelist you will also need to have hands on experience with various types of testing: acceptance, BDD, regression, integration, end-to-end and performance/load. Given our technology stack we also think that experience with at least one of these frameworks: Cucumber, Protractor, Robot Framework, Cyprus Framework would be ideal.
It would be great if you also have experience with:
- At least one Web UI/UX automation framework essential eg. Selenium, SerenityBDD, Ranorex or Galen
- Professional experience in at least one API testing framework essential eg. REST Assured and/or Karate DSL, Postman, SoupUI
- Professional scripting experience in Gherkin/DSL
- Familiarity with at least one programming language: JavaScript, Java, JSON, Ruby, Python, Perl and;
- Solid knowledge of SQL.
