Our client, a global mining organisation, is currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager for an on-site role located near Mackay. This will be an initial contract until end of June 2019 with a possible 12 month extension.
Preferably the Project Manager will be degree qualified in Mining Engineering, the successful candidate must have demonstrated previous success as a Mining Engeering Project Manager.
Candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
- Undertake the execution of design, specification, costing, scoping, and evaluation report works for projects.
- Create project Scope of Work and Project Execution Plans; including budgets, schedules and feasibility studies.
- Engage the operation across all departments, including key stakeholders, suppliers, vendors and contractors
- Actively investigate and implement safety, productivity, and cost initiatives across our sites.

You will be innovative and an enabler across all facets and stages of project delivery including commissioning and closeout.
You will enjoy a projects environment and working collaboratively with various stakeholders across the end-end cycle.

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to influence while also enabling you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.
- Sound knowledge of all aspects of mining techniques and the equipment employed.
- Strong inter-personal and leadership skills with a strong team focus.
- Capable of establishing, managing and executing a plan.
- Sound judgement, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Experience and understanding of the various aspects of commercial contracts
