In this permanent role you as the change and release manager will be responsible for the ITIL change and release management life cycle in an IT infrastructure environment. This is a permanent opportunity vacated by a previous contractor. You will bring your large enterprise change and release experience to bare in a unique and challenging role. This is a rare opportunity paying above market rate for the perfect candidate.

What’s expected?

  • Accountable for customer satisfaction as it relates to delivery of release to agreed SLA
  • Set customer expectation for the delivery of ITIL Change or Release requirements using a variety of communication methods such as presentations, training, meetings and knowledge sessions
  • Provides process input and governs by coordinating and facilitating the delivery of all phases of the Change or Release lifecycle through the defined Release team
  • Provides valued input into the definition and improvement of best practice for Change or Release management within the organisation
  • Provides input into process solutions that reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Keeps Change or Release Documentation current and in line with Change or Release best practice.
  • Produce Post Release Reviews or Change Post Implementation Reviews to identify improvements to processes and procedures
  • Acts as an escalation point for other Service roles to improve service/SLAs.
  • Acts as a team player and may mentor to support and improve the skills of colleagues. Recognising jobs well done.
  • Provides Change or Release statistics as agreed within the contract to the customer and to internal measurements defined by management.

What you bring to the role technically?

  • Proven experience in a Change or Release Management or Project Management role (for release only) in a corporate environment
  • Previous infrastructure experience both technically and at a management level.
  • Preferably and understanding of, and experience in managing change in a Cloud environment
  • ITIL Foundation highly desirable.
  • Possess superior analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical situations and activities in a straight forward way to non-technical people
  • Presentation reporting and management of Customer Change Management Meetings and Post Release Reviews
  • Must have high level of negotiation skills working in a complex client environment
  • Ensure Quality and Technical Assurance across the Change Management process
